Stihl FS 38 edge trimmer

Anyone wanting to purchase a Stihl FS 38 (made in China) edge trimmer beware. You may well have difficulty in starting the machine after a year or so. You will be given all sorts of excuses as to the no start-dirty fuel, did you empty the fuel in the machine? Does anyone else use the machine, so on and so on. I have a colleague who has a FS 45 who has had the same problem. He has spent close on R3k trying to get the same problem sorted out, but to no avail. The other problem you must be aware of , is that a service costs me approximately half the price of a new machine!!!! My lawn mower, despite working a lot harder and operated by me, has been going strong for nearly 18 years now and starts within the first three pulls. I sent a mail to Stihl's HO, but despite being told that I would be contacted , guess what-I had to phone them. Great customer service. Buyers beware. You are NOT buying a German manufactured edge trimmer R N
