Non delivery and empty promises

I contacted the company after they responded to my FB request for a car for Matric Dance. We corresponded via WhatsApp and they seemed like they provide a good service.

After confirming the date, I got busy to pay the deposit, then they contacted me to remind about deposit as car are being taken fast. I paid the deposit and asked to confirm pick up place closer to the time. Closer to the time I paid final amount, confirmed the pickup place and time also paid for a personalised registration plate. On the day of the MD, 30min before pick up time, I messaged them to ask for ETA, there was no responce, called numerous time, using different phone, no response, then had to make Plan B to take child to MD, by then we are 1 hr late for red carpet.

During the week, they responded, to apologies and stated they will refund me in full. It has now been 3 months of calling, sending letter of demand, which they acknowledge receipt and confirmed that they will refund me within 14 day, but no action. I have even taken the matter to the small claim court.

They seem to be running a **** business, even if they consistently post on social media platforms.
