Vehicle Repair

Initial meeting and greeting was good. yet once the car was in a different story.

I hate garages as thus always repair own vehicle. This is just one of those those times that just reminded me again that no garages is not to be trusted.

After taking in a car that for 7 years did not display any cooling or other problems that is not wear and tear related I am now stuck with a bill from hell and a car that have been severely damaged due to the workman ship (my personnel opinion)

Taking the car in for cam belt and "cvvt oil regulating soloinde" repair was the initial work to be done. at this stage the car was still running expect for a small water leak and over head cam noise at specific revs only. The water pump replacement was suggested by shop which I agreed to.

Routine cam beld swap and water pump “requested” by this quality workmanship shop left me with blown head and overheated system. This included a “cvvt oil solionde” that was supposed to repair a cvvt noise that I took it in for the first time. “ this will fix your car” still ongoing noise and I was told to fork out another 8.5K for something else. Close to 11K for the first disaster

13/11/2017 now 3 weeks after car being towed back for “overheat head blown “problem I received it, but not after having to wait for two hours “testing “which was supposed to be done on Friday 09/11/2017. Stuck with another bill of just under 6K. exhaust was repaired "R885" which I was informed of only after this was done. "Guess who payed for it ?" I did not approve “never was I contacted “nothing new apparently. The list of replaced part due to overheating is long and guess who payed for that ? I was given a discount "R1300" on labour for the last work done. Guess I should be grateful ?

I received a nice talk of what caused all the problems except the talk where responsibility was taken of anything……This is just another example of why trust in garages should and must be questioned.

No communication from shop unless you demand it! Even phoning is a problem as the phone is rarely answered. Emails is answered when you keep on emailing them only.

I will not advice anybody to use this vehicle repair shop.
