Steves Auto clinic - the worst client service that they make you pay a fortune for but they fixed nothing
If you ever have the slightest inclination to take your car to Steve's Auto Clinic in Kyalami. Don't, just Don't. I took my car to them after it overheated in traffic and told them to fix the problem. They charged me 7k - and told me they fixed all the pipes, the thermostat housing, refurbished the fan and replaced the radiator cap which according to them was cracked. When I told them that I had just late last year put in a new radiator they were dumbfounded. I asked them to detail on the invoice exactly what it was that was fixed, they still initially gave me an invoice with just one amount. I asked again for detailed invoice when I was paying and it took them over half an hour before they could give me an invoice with line items on it and then still they did not detail the radiator cap or the pipes that they apparently also fixed. They returned my car after a week claiming the problem had been fixed . The problem had not been fixed because the car overheated again. And my car when it overheats, if i switch it off only starts again after its cooled down. When my car overheated again I went to a shopping center and switched it off. This time i called Steve's auto clinic and told them the problem again. As it was the middle of the day, I waited for the car to cool down, started it and drove to them to have them yet again keep for over a week and where apparently not able to replicate the problem. When the problem did happen, they blamed it on the starter and quoted another 3.2k as the cost to fix. I had to borrow money to pay them to fix it and when I did get my car back they, being Edward assured me that my car no longer overheats. I got my car back on the Friday - I did not go anywhere on the weekend. On Monday afternoon i got stuck in traffic and my car overheated again. I send a picture to Eduard of the gauge showing that it had overheated - his response is that they fixed everything that needed to be fixed. Really, Really - they just stole over 10k from me. They didn't fix the overheating and tell me that their WHY WORRY warranty covers their repairs. Does this mean that I am to be inconvenienced constantly over the next 6 months by the fact that I must keep giving them the car to be fixed because they don't know what they doing. Eduard had the nerve to immediately try to cover themselves by telling me not to drive my car when its overheating. So I was driving my car after they apparently fixed it without knowing that it was going to overheat....what is wrong with these people and do all mechanics like building contractors think all woman are stupid because we don't know about cars. I expect that they are the experts who will not need to point fingers at the client. THEY CHARGE A FORTUNE AND HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Keep going lets see how long your business lasts
