Bad workmanship at SAC Steve's Auto Clinic

My daughter took her old Subaru Impreza to them with a very loud noise coming from one of the three ancial****ies (power-steering pump, alternator and aircon pump) which are side by side. I listened to the noise but couldn't hear which had the problem. They changed the power-steering pump and when she collected the car, the same noise was still there. They claimed that it was fine when she collected it and that the alternator gave up on the drive home. However we asked for both replaced items and I ran the power-steering pump up with an electric dril - perfectly smooth and silent while the alternator cannot be turned by hand. So they made a mistake. However when I phoned the owner of the franchise he started telling me that the noise only started 2 days later (not true). I asked him why they hadn't simply turned each by hand when the belt was off and then he started to shout and carry on about how hard it was to find the part etc. I could't get a word in and tried to explain that I was telling himm this out of consideration that his staff were unable to diagnose the problem and had not properly checked that they had the correct diagnosis. He kept on bellowing down the phone. I will never use them again because of his attitude. This misdiagnosis cost her about R12300 more than it should have and their attitude was too bad!
