**** about replacing my diesel pump and they will keep on "finding faults" to milk you for money!

• Steve's Auto Clinic Alberton performed unauthorised work on my son's Audi A3 This is in contravention with Section 15 of the Consumer Protection Act. • Leon Engelbrecht admits in writing to lying to the consumer about replacing his diesel pump. This is in contravention of the core of the Consumer Protection Act namely: ********** conduct and unfair, unjust and improper trade practices. • Leon Engelbrecht refuses to return the old parts to the consumer as proof that the repairs were actually done. Leon Engelbrecht claims that he has discarded of all the parts as s**** metal. This is in contravention of Section 67 of the Consumer Protection Act. • Some parts that Leon Engelbrecht fitted are defective. This is in contravention with Section 55 of the Consumer Protection Act. • Leon Engelbrecht constantly threatens the consumer with ‘expired warranty’, yet the vehicle was returned to him a myriad of times since the inception of the warranty. This is in contravention of Section 56 and Section 57 of the Consumer Protection Act. • The vehicle in question incurred scratches, chips and a dent whilst in the possession of Steve’s Auto Clinic (SAC). Leon Engelbrecht admitted that it was accidentally caused by his mechanics. The vehicle also had oily handprints and reeked of oil and grease inside. This is in contravention with Section 54 of the Consumer Protection Act. • Leon Engelbrecht supp**** the consumer with a hand written cash slip from a supplier as ‘proof’ that he paid for reconditioned injectors. Upon closer inspection of this cash slip it is clear that it cannot be from the supplier in question because the supplier is a registered VAT vendor and VAT was not charged on this slip. Upon comparing the hand written cash slip with the company’s Invoices, you will note that the invoices allow for cash received and the invoices are pre-printed with Gothic numbering for security purposes. It is not fathomable that the company in question would deviate from their normal legal practices to ******* practices as a registered VAT vendor. Furthermore, in one of the e-mails from Leon Engelbrecht, he states that he wants all the parts back that he paid for but fails to mention the injectors. The only logical derision one can make from this is that the cash slip is ‘fabricated’ and this is in contravention with one of the main purposes of the Consumer Protection Act which is to protect consumers from ********** conduct and unfair, unjust and improper trade practices. • My son's vehicle was with SAC Alberton for a period of 6 months intermittently for repairs. • To date we have paid SAC Alberton an exuberant amount of just over R81000. • My son's vehicle acquired excessive oil leaks and is also emitting smoke which it did not do prior to Leon Engelbrecht from SAC working on the vehicle. • The vehicle was very fuel efficient prior to SAC Alberton working on the vehicle. Due to Leon Engelbrecht messing around with the injectors multiple times (this was unauthorised), the vehicle is currently heavy on fuel. • Every time my son's vehicle goes back to SAC, Leon Engelbrecht ‘diagnoses’ new faults that must be repaired. • After we collected the vehicle from Leon Engelbrecht the last time, the Engine warning light is now permanently on and therefore we cannot drive the vehicle. As per the diagnostic report from Audi, they confirmed that the warning light is on due to faulty electrical wiring. This is directly related to SAC Alberton’s poor workmanship when they put the engine back.

Please think twice before you allow these clowns to work on your vehicle. They will milk you for money and you are guaranteed to have the worst experience of your life. You will also receive your vehicle back with more mechanical problems than it had prior to taking your vehicle there.

Please refer to my first comment where I stated that SAC Alberton was found to be not at fault by the RMI Ombudsman.  The customer never paid, offered to pay for the diesel pump that was fitted to his vehicle to proof to him that the pump is faulty. The pump was removed and his old pump fitted back to his vehicle.  Servicing a car once at a reputable workshop does not make up for a lifetime of home services by non qualified personal. If this car was serviced and maintained to decent standards it would not have needed all this work. There is still work that needed to be done on suspension etc that will cause future malfunctions.  I am no longer replying to these allegations made by the customer as we were found to be "NOT AT FAULT" by the RMI Ombudsman. Anyone that want to go through the  file  about this case can contact me and you will see that we have done more that what is expected from a workshop.
