Ryobi service must be the worst in SA

Incompetence is our business. We aim to wear you down and buy another product. Ryobi Africa you want to be the best. You are more *********** it is not possible to be.

My 2.5 year old brushcutter RBC4300A SPLIT SHAFT strips the PTO shaft splines no idea why. It was bought from a listed Pietermaritzburg agent Walvin. So I contact them and ask for a price on the clutch drum and PTO shaft on the 10th January. I get a response a Mr Brandon Dix wants to know the number of splines. I am not stripping it to count splines so I repeat the model number and split shaft requesting a parts diagram. I respond again number of clutch drum and say you did not read the enquiry and give model and details again. I get silence noting, send email again nothing. Mr Dix may be cross, did I make him look like a fool when he cannot do the job he is being paid for? Model number, description and accurate part description not good enough? The shaft that fits the drum supp**** if that is the way you work

I wait and get impatient. I post a message on Ryobi Africa facebook page with all details of the problem. It is deleted. Four times it is deleted. So I post a comment on a previous post and eventually get a response for contact details. I give an email address and get nothing. So I write again on the page and get another response. Here it is - Good day Peter, our apologies and thank you for getting in touch with us. Please provide us with your contact details, model number and location. We will have one of our representatives contact you regarding your request. You can find your closest service centre here: https://ryobi.co.za/service-support/ It might be a form letter allowing this person to get more sleep.

As you can see another bright shining star at Ryobi who has not read the message and shown the slightest competence. Ryobi seems to breed *********** people.

16 days and the circle has closed we are back at the beginning. Tell me Ryobi what is difficult in understanding your Durban branch has a clown in the spares department who cannot read messages, who refuses to answer email and requests for spares from one of your agents for spares. Do you think this agent will ever sell Ryobi products with service like this?

Do you think anyone should buy Ryobi products if this it the treatment and attitude of your branches and staff looking after email and facebook comments. Anyone who buys Ryobi had better pray they never need service. I shall endeavour to find alternative sources even if I have to import from China.
