Ryobi poor design

Wish I could rate a 0. Bought a Ryobi lawnmower RM145P. Used it for about 30 hours. Started getting white smoke. Checked air filter. Got dust past the filters now it has low compression. Can't exchange it or get a refund as it was bought at Builders but is too far from me in a different town.
