Ryobi Line Trimmer 1000w broke - charging for repair

I bought a Ryobi Line Twimmer on the 19th of August 2017, and returned it on the 19th of October 2017. I was only used twice, and on the third time, the head would no longer spin. I returned it to Builder's and it was sent for evaluation, only for them to tell me it will cost me to repair it as the bump head is a wear and tear item and is not covered under the warranty. This is unacceptable! I can understand after a few years of use, but after only using it twice? Is it that poor quality? Does that mean after it is repaired I can only expect to use it again twice?

I am disappointed by the level of service from both Builder's and Ryobi. Builders should not sell on such inferior quality products.
