RYOBI Blower faulty but not covered under warranty.

I recently submitted my faulty Ryobi blower for repairs after 13 months.

Now I receive a quote to repair which costs more than the unit I paid for. Furthermore I have been informed by the person who communicated with me that is is not part of the warranty.

This is false advertising. Do not buy Ryobi blowers under the thought there is a longer warranty. Apparently, anything that can go wrong is not covered and Furthermore they is an expectation for you to pay a fee if you choose not to repair.

As a point of interest, blower used once a week for a few minutes a time, which just goes to show that it is not up to standard.
