******* RYOBI products distributed by Stevens & Co

Stevens & Co are the South African distributors of Ryobi products. I bought a Ryobi RG-2250I generator from MAKRO in Nov 2019. This ******* product lasted exactly 4 hours of use over a 5 month period. When I returned under its 2 year warranty to Makro, they advised me that Stevens & Co cannot support this product in South Africa with after sales service and repairs.... My point is - why does a reputable retail group like MAKRO sell these *******/inferior RYOBI products if the local distributor cannot support their product?? Why do they even give a 2 yr warranty if it means nothing? Now MAKRO wants to refund me... but 1 year later that refund amount cannot buy me any similar 2kW/2.2 kVA generator . MAKRO... please don't lower your standards by continuing to sell inferior and ******* products like RYOBI which is locally distributed by this Mickey Mouse company - Stevens & Co. It is damaging the reputation of MAKRO.
