Poor performance of RVB3050 garden blower

I had to replace a solid performing older Ryobi 3000Watt garden blower that was ****** from my premises. Bought a current model Ryobi RVB3050 also rated at 3000Watt thinking that my experience would be the same - just goes to show how wrong one can be. The new machine is positively asthmatic and is not even close to the old machine in terms of blowing performance and air displacement volume. Sure - it's way quieter, smaller and lighter but I suspect its exactly here that the problem lies - in achieving those goals the electrical rating cannot be achieved due to the smaller turbine and electric motor in the design. I happen to have a power meter permanently installed on my electrical feed and the blower is only able to achieve a measly 1800Watt - nowhere near the 3000Watt promised on the box. So I sent an email to Ryobi, and after a few days eventually, a rep called and apologized while at the same time trying to convince me of the satisfaction levels of the machine in their evaluations. I got told a rep or technician will call on me and see what the problem is or replace it if faulty. So its now a week later and even though they have my telephone number and address, not a word out of the croud. Absolutely pathetic ...........
