Lack of Intergrity
I bought a Ryobi lawnmower no so long ago for R1600 at Makro.
it broke down recently and I took it to th Midrand Center fro repairs.
I have been sent a quote for +/-R 1700 for repairs. I have been told that the repairs on the machine will not be covered by because I overloaded it while using it, hence the motor was burnt.
I have a small yard, the area of our stand is 250 Square Meter, thus you can imagine how small the garden is. Question - what proof does the manufacture have that the machine was overloaded? Were they there when I was cutting the grass?
The answer is simple, the manufacture does not want to own up to their end of the bargain (warranty/guaranty) and fix my machine as promised at the time of purchase, thus they hide behind the "improper usage statement"
I am dissapointed, and I would like to advise people not to purchase your machines as you lack intergrity and you fail to take responsibility and honor your promise.
