ILL MANNERED LICENCE DEP. STEVE TWHETE

Phoned license dep. last Thursday, wanted to know how they could assist me, as my husband is over 60, and has had numerous neck and back operations, and is a diabetic! The operator informed me that i should bring him at 07h00 so that he could be assisted quickly.(renewal of drivers licence) What a disaster, we had an eye test done a week before by an optomotrist to save time! We where advised at 08h15 to go to the eye test room. Upon entering, no one was in the room, gradually at around 8h35, a young man wearing sunglasses enters the room, does not greet, says nothing!!! I politely asked what time they would start testing as we had been there from 06h30, he was so arrogant and unpleasant, that i requested to see the manager! I then met the "supervisor", she informed me that they only start the machines at 07h30 (which was a joke) as of 08h00, no one was in the eye test center, to add fuel to the fire, one of the testers in that room did not even have a mask on! I have had a few experiences with this department in the last 2 years! It gets worse everytime, and ALL PERSONS are treated with disdain and ignorance, plenty of municipal staff available, but all drinking coffee and catching up with the weekend business, while customers sit and wait and are to scared to say anything to them in case they are victimized! Its a shame and a disgrace
