Steve Madden does not back its products
I bought a pair of shoes from Steve Madden at Sandton on the 9th December 2015. What with the christmas holidays, they have hardly been worn. In mid Jan 2016, they beagan to fall apart. Today was the first chance I have had to take them back, so I went to the Fourways branch. Firstly, they are their shoe that they sell. ( They are still on display) Secondly, you can see they are virtually brand new (worn no more than 10 times). Thirdly, you can see they are falling apart. Yet they refused to swap them because I did not have a slip. Surely, if you know they are their shoes, (which they did not deny) and can see they are new, NO receipt is needed to prove the customer is being done in. This is disgraceful. To hide behind a policy when you clearly know you are wrong is un ethical and immoral. Not the kind of store I wish to buy from. I would like to believe they will do the right thing... lets see.
