"Shoes dont fit"

On 20 September 2016 I visited the Steve Madden Store at Mall of Africa and was intrigued by beautiful grey/silver heels. They were on special at R799. I fitted a size 7 and thought its a little tight. I then requested a size 8 and it fitted.

I went home and tried the shoes again in the house and felt like the size 8 was too big as i walked around and my toes were overlapping and i just couldnt walk with them

On the 20th of October i went back to the store and got assisted by Paul, who i told that i want to come and exchange the shoes for a size 7 but i dont have the slip and box. I explained to him that i wore the shoes once and i dont like them as their too big and i left them in the car so i just wanted to find out how they can help? Paul said its not a prob they can assist with exchange but currentlt they dont have a size and Sandton City does and since its late he will call in the morning to order the shoes to be delivered at MOA the next Thursday as the driver only operates on that day.

Following into the new week, its Thursday and im expecting a call from Paul and none. I call the MOA info desk and they give me his cellphone numbed as the store doesnt have a line. His phone is off and i call the Sandton store to check if they know anything about the order? They instead give me Pauls assistance number Refiloe to contacf her. I contact Refiloe and says she doesnt know but will let me know as soon as the driver comes. Initially she asked if i send her a pic of the shoes and whats the story about them. I chatted to her about this on whatsapp. Around 5pm i went to the store to check as she hasnt called me, when i got there i asked her whats the story she says she was going to call me. I took out the shoes and she played shocked that i had worn the shoes and they wont accept it? I felt violated as a customer and off course i worn the shoes because how else would i have known that its too big? She went to the back or storeroom to call Paul for about 10 min and took a picture of the shoes. When she came out she gave me the phone to speak to Paul. He said that Refiloe is giving her a different version of our story? I was surprised now as we had agreed and i came all the way to exchange now they decide privately about whats right and wrong. Paul tells me that i wore the shoes and i didnt mention it to him and i told him that i did tell you. He said that he will have to speak to his manager about this and will try and help me, Paul said he will get back to me the next day Friday 21 October with an answer even if its negative. Refiloe brang the size 7 i fitted and it was a lil bit tight but i told her it will stretch and get my foot shape as soon as i wear and walk with them. She insisted the shoes was small? And advised me to buy some shoes grips and take the size 8? I told her let go shop around and think but i want the size 7. I came back and decided i want the size 7 but she couldnt give as we waiting for Paul. I left the store and insisted that i want the size 7 shoes. My problem is that i didnt get the service any customer deserves and if it was someone else they couldve jumped and not ask too many questions.

Refiloe gave me a piece of paper to write my details again after i had also left the same with Paul. They dont take me serious and their jobs too.

Today its the 9th of November and Paul has still not called me back like he promised. This is just disrespectful and belittling to me.

Hello Peter, i am counting on you to assist in resolving this issue so i can get the shoes i love.
