Steve Biko death machine.

I would like to inform the public of the intent to malpractice and I would sue this hospital if my case is worth the trouble. But I honestly do not think they care at all.

I took my 8-year-old child to Steve Biko Hospital at the beginning of September for abdominal pain.

After 13 hours of waiting in the emergency department, my child was discharged with no diagnosis.

Her condition then got worse the next day. We took her to a private hospital because 3 days after the horrific visit to Steve Biko, she started releasing blood in her stool. Due to financial reasons and no medical aid, we were transferred back to Steve Biko Hospital where she was admitted after a private hospital had to tell them she needed medical attention.

3 Days later my child underwent a procedure and was diagnosed with IBD. Dr. de Villiers who resides in the 4 Ward on floor 8 then discharged my child as stable and prescribed no medication or treatment for the illness.

The only medication provided was anti-acids for the tummy when the issue was cerebral colitis. No medication for treatment of the condition was provided.

It appears they either do not have the required resources or knowledge to perform their task professionally or even remotely correctly.

I would urge parents to take a close look at the service provided to their children in this hospital, as it appears they have a left-leaning agenda. I am not sure if the issue is her racial ethnicity, or if it is a case of ineptocracy on the highest level.

We had to take my child back to a private doctor to get the proper treatment that this hospital failed to provide in the first place.

It's a shame to even think that taxpayers are paying for this type of treatment. And When it comes to the lives of children I believe they should be governed by an external source to ensure they are doing their jobs.

Its a shame and I wish I had the financial ability yo due the doctor for her malpractice tendencies.
