Sterkfontein Dam Nature Reserve

Good Day,<br> Very bad experience at Sterkfontein Dam near Harrismith. We decide to go camping there for the weekend of the 24-27 April 2015. I phoned about three weeks before the planned weekend to find out if there were any chalets available, but they were fully booked, Samuel then said but they have lots of space at the caravan park. I asked him the rate and he said R200 per night with electricity. I asked him if I could book two stands, and he said not necessary to book we can just come. After consulting with the rest of the group I was requested to phone again to make sure that we can't book, which I did with the same result. (Samuel again) When we arrived there on Friday at 11, we went into the office to pay for our stands. I was then told that there is a problem, they are full. Most to my utter surprise as we were told we don't have to book. And guess who was in the office, no one other than Samuel ! When asked to explain, he said it SLIPPED HIS MIND ! We were three families that drove from Johannesburg and one from Durban, how is it possible that something like that can slip your mind three times !!<br> Needless to say, WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO STERKFONTEIN DAM !!!!!
