Long overdue payment from Stephan Welz & Co

Hi I am Chris ****inson, 76 year old pensioner. I have now joined the group of Stephan Welz clients who are waiting for payment for goods auctioned by Stephan Welz. In my case I put 8 items comprising vintage Murano glass and Scottish paperweights onto Stephan Welz's 18/19 June 2024 Cape Town auction. I eagerly awaited the promised payment 45 calendar days after the auction. Sadly no payment. Now after numerous calls to the Cape Town and Johannesburg offices, I am now waiting in excess of 60 days beyond the due date of payment. I will continue calling, but regretfully it would appear that a lawyers letter demanding prompt payment is the only way forward. This a disgrace for a company that has been in the auctioneering business for in excess of 50 years! I will keep you posted.
