Steel Top canopies - Be Aware

I purchased a steel top canopy from ACMS Steeltop canopies for my Hilux Toyota thinking that this would be more durable than the fibreglass models- how wrong was I. My bakkie and canopy are 4 years old and I have serious rust starting in all the corners of the canopy whilst I don't have one spot of rust on my bakkie she still looks still brand new.<br> I called ACMS today to discuss my issue with them and I spoke with Desire' only to be told \well your car is 4 years old". I couldn't believe what I was hearing after paying more than twice the amount of a fibreglass model R20k to be precise at the time. This is definitely a ******* if you think you are buying a solid steel top which only lasts 4 years when I could have bought a fibreglass model and it would have lasted double the years at R10k at the time. What's even worse is that you have no recourse or even a friendly \""welll lets looks at the vehicle and see if there is something we can do\"". I will never buy another Steel top canopy when I get the new Toyota Hilux model next year - Be Aware what you are getting and don't be fooled an special paint/technique or treatment without an form of guarantee.
