In March 2021 i contacted Johan to install a carport at the complex I live in. He arrived and provided us with a quote which needed a 60% deposit after initially asking for 70%. he advised that due to the lockdown the turnaround time will be 10-15 working days. The deposit of R6 plus was paid to him at the end of March 21 after several enquiries from him saying that the steel price will go up and we should pay then. It is now 5 months later and this con-man has nothing but excuses - saying the supplier took the deposit and did not provide the sheeting for the carport. He shows no concern - saying that his business has closed down but has an active website. He advised that he will get his attorney to contact me but nothing to date.
