New bar - **** attitude

I am posting this on behalf of a good friend and fellow designer. He did a massive re-branding job for these guys and until now has still not been payed even 4 months after completion. As usual, when we designers do jobs, often for a lot less than should be due, we get *****ed. And thus is the case with Steamcraft restaurant bar in Woodstock. And when one tries to get their attention on Facebook, the comments get deleted. They are too busy with sop stories about their idea to open a bar in the South African financial climate, and how tough things have been barely being open. They are now 5 months late with payment. Point is fellow designers, these are the types of people you stay away from. Don't fall for the same story of the client not having any money so the budget is really low. These guys are a prime example of a client you should avoid like the plaque.<br> <br> If this is any indication of how they treat their suppliers, beware what your food will be like in the next few months, as i imagine that their financial troubles will lead them to cutting corners in the kitchen and hygiene dept.<br> <br> Good luck and avoid!
