Unprofessional And ********* conduct
Companies need to know that after-sale services are vital. You are not selling us a house only but a service and this is what my review is about. So before I continue with this review I would like to mention that I spoke to the agent and I was actually felt threatened. As i recall and quote the agent’s words: “No one has ever rated me and my service, and it will never happen. It will not end well.....”. Well here we are with his first ever review.
When we bought the house we were transparent that we would like to negotiate the price down from R1 050 000.00 to R1m and all went well. We viewed the house and made a mini checklist of things that were not ok. Some were minor and some were vital.
After we moved in I personally kept the agent updated on things that i discovered that were not Ok. We were not stressed by some of the faults as The Body Corporate would actually repair i.e. Leaking garage roof, repair ceiling, a damaged kitchen door, damaged drain cover, a light outside the garage that did not work, a bit of rubble in the yard. So we sort of shelved these issues.
Others we felt that they should have been repaired, but was told by agent that because we negotiated the price down by 50k we have to deal with them are as follows a) The oven is malfunctioning (it does not work, it does not switch on). b) The kitchen light do not work, and prior to moving in the owner promised it would be fixed. The agent told us the electrician has ordered a part and it will be fixed. Well, we are gonna repair it from our pocket I guess. c) Theres a naked cable outside that we asked what its for and why its cut off (no one knows). Even the electrician. d) Half the windows have broke hinges and arms. (If thats what they are called). e) A chunk of plaster that fell off. and f) a couple of cracks on the wall.
I also believe that the electrician **** on the ECC or they ****d it. a) The geyser has been bypassed; when you switch it off from the Main it remains on. Now this is what actually upset me. The lies. b) Some plugs are wired wrong because when we actually switch the geyser off on the main those plugs do not work.
There was no sense of courtesy to make sure the house is clean before we moved in. So my wife and I have decided we will have to spend a bit more to get the issues solved and hope that these will help improve services offered by this company and also help future homeowners choose wisely.
