Starlet or Disastar??
We held our daughters wedding at the venue in November 2025 – the biggest day of our lives. I gave them the lowest possible rating of one star, and even that feels generous. The venue itself looked nice, but that’s where the positives ended. The music was excessively loud, and despite asking repeatedly for it to be turned down, the requests were ignored. The food was the biggest disappointment. Their menu had three levels: Level 1 – a basic chicken curry; Level 2 – steak and tandoori chicken; Level 3 – three main courses, two desserts and two starters, with prices rising accordingly. We chose Level 2, but on the day we were told the quoted price did not include VAT, so they unilaterally downgraded our menu to chicken curry and rice. When I raised the issue, I was sent to the manager, who ignored me. The owner was called and claimed he had no dealings with me; when I explained that my wife had made the payments, he said I hadn’t paid and therefore had no reason to speak to him. When I continued to protest, he demanded that I leave and threatened to call the police for “trespassing.” While we were taking family photos, the owner summoned me to the kitchen, where I was confronted by metro police and asked to leave or risk arrest. The officer said the owner wanted me removed because his staff felt threatened by my complaints about the music and food. The police enforced the venue’s right of admission, and I was unable to enjoy my daughter’s wedding day – a day we had planned for nine months. If I could do it again, I would not choose this venue and strongly advise others to look elsewhere. What should have been a joyous occasion turned into a nightmare simply because I challenged the venue on the music and food.
