Bad, Bad Service

I am a 71 year old man. I shopped at the Starke Ayres Sunningdael nursery last Thursday, 21 October - 7 bags of compost, lawn dressing and potting soil, plus a number of plants. Quite a load to push around. There was no-one close by to help me so I managed to get to the check-out by myself. The checkout lady and I struggled to get access to the barcodeson some of the bags, so she could scan them - so after a minute or so she called to a group of guys lolling around 10 meters away, chatting together in a group. One came over and moved the bags around enough to get them scanned - then wandered away, back to his friends. I paid and as I was leaving the checkout lady suggested I ask the parking car attendant to help me load my car. I was obviously annoyed so she called over to her colleagues to help me. One reluctantly pulled himself away from the group but at that stage I was too annoyed so told him to voetsak. Normally I get lots of help when I visit Starke Ayres but now the whole experience gave me a bad taste about going back there. My question to the management is - What are you paying these guys not to do? I have given a two star rating instead of one because the checkout lady was very supportive and tried to help.
