More than five big issues, Seriously?
I can honestly say this was the worst service I have ever recieved. Visited this Starbucks (Rosebank Mall) during The Alice in Wonderland experience game from Cluedupp games. In their defence with the game going on it was quite busy, but with the other Starbucks's reputation of a quick order and go system, they should definitely have been able to manage on this day, if there was any working system at all, but this was non existend. Looking at their google reviews I can see that this was not a once of issue!
After standing in line forever we reached the food counter, with limited options available. Here you have to decide what you are going to have and then proceed to another counter about 5-10 steps ahead to place your order. By the time you get there you are greeted by a extremly cokey person (Name: V**i) that feels the need to correct you on every bit of your order e.g on ordering an Iced coffee for my daughter he felt the need to mockingly ask me what an iced coffee is and that they do not serve it. After finding the right name on the menu we could continue to the next item he felt he had to correct me on. When we eventually got to the food order, he kept on asking wether I know if the item is still available as there where many costumers before me and they might have bought the items. I told him that they were still available when I was in that part of the line, so he kept on going back to the fridge to check everything I ordered individually one by one (seriously could he not just take the whole order and check at once) eventually my order was in, but then he had to notify me that some of the items I ordered was out of stock (seriously after checking) and we need to remove them from the order. Exausted my order was complete after ages in line and at the counter. On inserting my card for payment, he very rudely stopped me and said I cannot continue before tipping him, showing me exactly were and how to do it on the payment machine, I even said "seriously do you think you deserve a tip?" and he quite honestly said "offcourse I do" and kept on looking at the machine to see how much I will be tipping. After my forced generous tip his service slightly improved, writing my name on the reciept and saying that he will call me when my order was ready. After again waiting for ages we eventually went to the counter to find out when our order will be ready, to find out that they have not started with it, after explaining that we are taking part in a timed challeng game and begging yhe. To please at least start with the extremly hungry kids order so long, the slow traitorous process started. Our order come out in bits and pieces, we had to walk up and down about 10 times. After everybody ate and we were set to go, 2 of my kids still did not have their food. I politly walked to the counter and asked whats happening when the extremly rude lady behind the counter (Name: An**e) asked for my reciept. I explained that the did not give me a reciept (even after I asked for one) as they said the reciept went to the food counter for procesing. Eventually she found my reciept and asked me what was still outstanding. I told her, this was when she realized that one part of my order was not done, and the other part was never rung up (seriously!!!) So I politly asked her to please start with the order so that I can pay for the part that was never but through. I told her that I am not getting into yhe hiduos line again and that they can bring the machine to me, I will pay right there were I was standing, she said she was going to finish of the other peoples orders first then she would complete mine. By this time I could not be my friendy old self anymore and I told her that I think dhe should rather just complete my order. She rudely used my name and asked me what I expect from her seeing that she only got there. Eventually I went to the toilet and left my kids at the counter to collect the order, telling An*ie behind yhe counter to give the order to my kids once its done. Returning three times to my kids asking if the order was done yet, I asked An**e what was going on and she took out the two sandwitches and said "Oh they were done a while back already" but she was not willing to give it to my kids before I paid for the outstanding sandwich (seriousllly !!!) So I stayed calm walked to the front of the line and paid. When at last our last two kids started eating we realised that our Macon sandwich had no macon on it and was a plain cheese I decided for my sanity I would rather just lose the R4 they cheated me with instead of trying to but in a complaint. After eventually leaving (and cleaning up the table, that was filled with previous customers cups and spills) we left. Outside our friends and my husband told us that their toasties were not toasted at all and the cheese was still hard. I could only laugh and walk away shaking the dust of Starbucks Rosebank Mall of my feet, with a bitter taste of bad service in my mouth, to never ever return again!
