Worst insurance company on the planet
My property was damaged due to hail in November 2020. The claim was registered the same month. Firstly. it took them several weeks to send out an assessor. When the assessor got here, she reviewed the damage and subsequently sent the claim settlement to Standard Bank Insurance. She had also asked them to send out an awning company to assess the damage on the awnings as she was unable to provide a value.
Standard bank had not informed me by this time of what had transpired. It's only when I called them on 4 January 2021 did Lebo Mosiako tell me the assessor filed the claim value and asked them to appoint an awning company. She also asked me to fill out the agreement of loss of which I submitted back to her on 5 January 2021. Thereafter, Lebos mails became unanswered.
They also did not send an awning company so I called a local company to provide a quote for repair. I sent all this information to them on 16 February 2021. To date, there is no settlement despite phone calls and emails.
I further escalated the matter to senior employees Lloyd Mbongeni who only sent a mail of apology and Neville Segeel who has not done anything about this. I followed up with further emails and to date, there is no response.
This truly is the worst insurance company with absolutely no levels of service and professionalism. If senior management is so useless, what do you expect the staff to do?
