Why is it so difficult to cancel my insurance

Why is it so difficult to cancel my credit card insurance. I have been trying to cancel it all day. The first number I called I waited for half an hour for a consultant to assist me. So I got transfered to another department. When someone finally answered the consultant said that they do not handle insurance and transfered me again. After half an hour I got another assistant that told me that I have to cancel it by e-mail. So I was given the wrong e-mail adress. I have been online all day and trying to see if there is some way to just cancel it with online banking. I did not ask for card insurance I have been paying it for a year. I'm done. I just want to cancel it I don't understand why you make it so difficult
