What's Next

I AM LIVID because i logged a claim yesterday for a leaking geyser, which was installed by one of Standard Bank referred plumbers previously, David Miller plumbing services was assigned to go and check what the problem was yesterday, the plumbers went to my house, but did not make an assessment nothing, they saw the water leaking through the outlet pipe and when shown the trap door, they decided not to go up and check why the geyser is leaking, even though permission was given to open the trap door, they instead phoned their offices who in turn phoned Standard banks claims department to authorize for an enlargement of the trap door, now if my partner can fit through that trap door who is also as tall & hefty as the plumbers of David Miller Plumbing, than that to me is inconsiderate lazy *********** and incapable plumbers who could not go in to assess the leaking geyser, i would think that it is a plumber's requirement to get access through a customer's trap door, this morning when a gentleman by the name of Molefe phoned me, i said to him, that i did not give consent for Dave Miller's plumbing services to enlarge my trap door, either they sent competent and capable plumbers to assess through the trap door that is open, which my partner opened last night, because no one is going to enlarge a trap door if there is a current trap door, he assured me that it would be sorted, because the lady of David Miller Plumbling was more concerned about an access payment when her plumbers attend to the leaking geyser, now that reminds me of Bafana Bafana not having kicked a ball and already wanting to know what are they going to be paid, i have not contacted them for a service, i am paying my monthly insurance to the bank that assured me that i am covered for a call out, 1 hour labour, burnt wires on the geyser, non returned valves or a isolator switch, but around 1.30pm today a lady from David Miller Plumbing phones me, to ask if they can go and enlarge my trap door because the bank has given them authorization, i told her to cancel it, because this morning when i spoke to Molefe in the claims department, i told him that no one is going to enlarge my trap door or remove a section of my roof, if they installed my geyser previously through that same trap door, why can't they go through the trap door, and do the assessment, because it is water that is wasting because of the leaking geyser, why must i accommodate lazy *********** and incapable plumbers who wants to inflate the repair/delivery bill, in the end i will be sitting with a leaking roof that has never leaked since 1988, i also logged a complain with their complains department because trying to phone their toll- free numbers is a complete waste of time, really it is ridiculous to keep listening to their IVR messages and high volumes of calls for periods of up to 30 minutes at a time and that volume of callers does not decrease from 09.00am to 04:00 pm, after complaining, a Portia comes back to me, wanting to know if David Miller Plumbing can go ahead to go out to my house to go and enlarge my trap door, i refused and want to know, why can't they just send a competent, capable plumber/s that could go through the current trap door, again i will have to do without hot water tonight for the 2nd day and night in a row, well i am going to get my own plumber tomorrow and submit the invoice to Standard bank claims department, because i will not stand for their poor services, they ensure their insurance debit order gets deducted from my bank account religiously every month on the 1st, i have reference nrs: 641975 and ********** 220 a claim nr 17/096222, their slogan says what's next, well i am posing that question to them what do i do next?

I am this minute completing forms applying for assistance from the bank ombudsman on what to do next, really since Thursday without hot water, water wasted and not sure what my water bill is going to be, a new born baby of 4 days old and two grandsons of 10 & 4 deprived of hot baths, the inconvenience of having had to wake up 20minutes earlier since Thursday to date to boil water in a big pot just to wash & going to work is really stressful and traumatic, I planned, and sacrifice to ensure these contingency plans in place if ever something like a leaking geyser would occur, the matter would be sorted speedily & professionally, but really since Standard Bank changed their slogan from Simply Better Faster to What's Next, we the customer can only sit and guess what plan of action would be next, I am going to include a photo of my open trap door when submitting my substantial documentation to the Ombudsman to check if a plumber could get access through there, because the previous plumber that installed the geyser did the installation through the same trap door, I am waiting for urgent action before submitting my application for assistance by 12.00 noon to the Ombudsman today , because really without hot water since Thursday is really inconsideration from Standard bank policies and procedure's, I am really sad and shocked that the bank has gone from useful to useless, waiting for hours on end telephonically and still not getting through to the required department that is supposed to assist a customer, really having to air once grievances on social media to heard is really sad indeed, if I do not get help from the claims department by 12noon, I will not waste my time trying to contact the claims department or the above number, because it will be fruitless with wasting my time, and will have no other alternative but to do the necessary to the bank ombudsman, Thanks Carol Carelsen
