What a disappointment standard bank insurance has been

My brother got ******ed and after me trying to find out if my policy qualifies me for double pay no one from standard bank got ahold of me or tried letting me know since March. I know all banks offer double pay out for the amount insured but standard bank payed for just the covered amount. I tried canceling my policy but they still don't answer their phones. I'm disappointed.
