Vehicle not fixed five months after the claim was lodged and five months later Standard Bnak rejects the claim.

I was involved in an accident on the 31st of March 2019. It is the 8th of August today and I still do not have my vehicle back. Standard Bank Insurance is now rejecting my claim, they say the mechanical problems of my vehicle are not as a result of the accident. When I was involved in an accident my vehicle was driving fine and has never given me any mechanical problem since I was servicing the vehicle regularly at Renault. After the accident the vehicle is not moving and Standard Bank is saying the problem was not caused by the accident.

My vehicle is not in a satisfactory conditions as some parts have been removed. The bumper that snapped as a result of the accident is not fixed.

Standard Bank allowed the repairer to strip my vehicle without my permission, instead of taking my vehicle for an assessment with the Renault approved mechanic. The repairer tempered with all the evidence that will implicate them in the mechanical fault of the vehicle and generated a report that favours them at my expense. Even after numerous complaints with Standard Bank Insurance, they still do not find anything wrong in how they handled this claim. Five months after the accident, I do not have my vehicle as it is not fixed. In the five months that my vehicle is not with me, Standard Band Insurance has been deducting insurance premiums without any fail but when it comes to playing their part in fixing my vehicle the are coming up with stories.

That is not all. To get this claim approved it took a month and a half, that is 45 days. Most of days for courtesy car use were taken up but the unreasonable delays by Standard Bank Insurance in approving the claim. In the end I had to pay R4500 for the courtesy car as Standard Bank took responsibility for only 10 days of delay from the 45 days.

After all the trouble that Standard Bank Insurance and their recommended repairer Pro Beat in Willow Par Pretoria have put me through, I still do not have my vehicle.
