The worst service ever from Standard Insurance.

I was on 22 July 2021 in Bloemfontein for doctor consultation. When I came back at my house, I noticed that water is running in my passage. At investigation, I noticed that my ceiling in kitchen had fell, and water running out of the roof. I immediately closed the stop valves, and contacted Standard Bank Insurance. The lady said that I had co payment of R1300 on pipes, and only covered for R3000 on pipes, and R500 co payment on carpets and ceiling. She promised to sent me a claim number, which I did not received till now. Also that she will only contact plumbers only the next day to fix, and the rest will be attended only on Monday the 26th. That is really poor service from an insurance company, as this was not planned damage. Also I am pensioner with no claims, and was with Standard Insurance for the past 15 years, but still pensioners have co payments, and have to wait for repairs when they suit the insurance. I told lady that we cannot sit without water till plumbers come perhaps the next day, and it was terrible in house with ceiling fallen out. I repaired pipe by myself the Friday morning, as I heard nothing from anyone. Only at 15h30 the Friday afternoon, the plumber called to hear what problem was. I told them, I had fixed myself, and called insurance to cancel the claim, as their service is poor, for the money I am paying every month. I had stripped kitchen ceiling, and got private contractor to install new ceiling, as we are ill pensioners who cannot live in such cold condition till insurance decide when they will fix. Really, Standard Insurance is definitely the worst insurance company ever, and I will not recommend them to anybody. Their contract is wonderful on paper, but when you have a claim, it is the worst ever, I am paying far over R2400 per month on this poor insurance, and they not deliver a service. All the lady consultant was worried about, is how I am going to pay for the claim, Pensioners not suppose to pay co payments at other companies. People please think twice before you take out insurance from Standard Insurance, They not cheap with no service.
