The worst customer service received in my life by Standard Bank

I have never had such a horrible customer experience in my life. On the 27th May 2017 i had a water pipe burst in my bathroom whilst i was at work, I came home to find my entire bedroom and lounge underwater, As a lady i didnt know what to do except call a plumber, they were so helpfull, instructed me to turn of the main water supply and were at the house within minutes. They found the cause to be a burst pipe in the wall, went on to repair the leak and within 3 hours were done. I had obviosly started mopping the areas, put out fans out etc etc, that alone was a nighmare, little did i know that i would be experiencing another nightmare with Standard Bank, I logged a claim the same day, never received a response in days, then went on to call Standard Bank and had the joy of speaking to the most rudest lady i have ever encountered. I explained what had happened and was told to send through the plumbers invoice as she would want to check if my claim was legitimate, might i say, she might as well of said you are lying, she was arrogant and rude. I was not about to deal with this as i was already in a panic, i told her that i will take this matter up with senior management and that was the end of our conversation. Whithin 10min i got an sms iforming me that my claim was registered. I then received a call from a company saying that they would like to evaluate the damaged, this also was a nightmare, on 2 occasions i had to leave work to meet the assessor, first time didnt come, second time the appointment was made for 09h00, they only showed up after 11h00. at around 10h00 I called Standard Bank and requested that they send another service provider as i was unhappy with the back and forth calls. Whilst i was busy on the phone unaware to me the gentlman arrived and my brother showed him the water damages, On his way out i informed him that i have called Satndard Bank and requested for someone else that is reliable to come assess the damages. whithin 10min of him leaving my premises i got a call from Standard Bank, to my horrific surprise it was the same lady who was so rude to me, her manner of speaking is that of someone who should not be dealing with Standard Banks so called valued customers. She sarcasticely asked if she should call me Miss or Mrs Guttmann, i new at this stage i was in for another ride, i asked her what she wanted and she happily told me that she rejected the claim as the tiles were not lifting due to water damage but poor workmanship. My entire house was tiled by a qualified tiler years ago, only the tiles that were covered in water were damaged. I have in the interim asked for professional assistance, As per Standard Bank tiles can not lift due to water damage, I suggest Standard Bank sent their claim handlers on getting a qualification in tiling, not to mention customer service, maybe then they would have known that once water makes its way past the tile or grout, it starts to do real damage, including loosening the bond between the tile and the subsurface, as i said these tiles have been there for years and would still have been there for years if it wasnt for the burst pipe. Only today did i see that my cupboards are also swelling due to the water, is that also poor workmanship? My dramatic experience with Standard Bank is not something i would want a repeat of, Standard Bank are good for taking the monthly premium but when it comes to delivering as they promise they find every excuse to reject., and they do it well by employing the most shocking staff to deal with their claims. I will definitely be changing my insurer, Please note, i requested the email address of this rude claims handler Manager, she sent me an email address of her colleage. Standard Bank, everyone deserves to know how you treat your so called valued customers.
