Terrible contractors

<p>Unfortunately I have had to resort to Hello Peter because my email and countless calls have gone unanswered. I am utterly disgusted with the construction company who Standard Bank appointed to fix our roof. Towards the end of last year, we had a terrible storm during which our roof was badly damaged and there was water that was leaking through. We contacted Standard Bank and they sent through a construction company to help with the repairs. Last week it rained again, but it was not too heavy. You can imagine our shock when the water started to drip through the "fixed" ceiling and onto our couch. The very next day we contacted the construction company and they sent someone out to do "repairs". Please note that this is only about 2-3 months after they had been there to fix the roof in the first place. At this stage, my husband and I were already disgusted by the shoddy workmanship that was now becoming evident. Yesterday a friend of ours got onto the roof of our house (it's not every day that people climb onto the roof) and we could finally see the "work" that was done on there... What a disgusting sight to see. The roof that was supposed to be fixed professionally, properly and to a decent/high standard, looks atrocious. I sent Standard Bank photos of what the roof looks like. It honestly looks like someone has just taken dirty rags and thrown them onto the roof!! Why would a big company like Standard Bank hire these shocking people to fix their customer's roofs? At least when they started, our roof was already nicely painted and looked good. After they fixed it, the roof looked ugly and clearly is not sealed properly etc.As of yet, we have not paid the R750 excess and now having seen this unprofessional work, I do not think that we should.</p>
