Take too long to approve my approve

I got retrenched on the 19th of June 2020. I have a credit protection plan with standard bank. I went to Standard Bank to inquire about claiming. I was told which documents i needed to submit. I asked how long will it take for the claim to be approved. I was told 30 days. I then gathered all documents and submitted on the 1st of July.

I received this sms (Your credit life claim CHL20/012405L has been received and registered for queries contact Standard Bank Insurance Brokers (FSP ***911) on the 6th of July.

I have been trying to follow up with no joy on my part, kept being told the claim is with the assessors. Last week i was told it was with the Supervisor I would receive feedback by friday. Friday there was nothing. I called again today and i am told its with the assessor again and it takes 30 to 60 days where as initially i was told 30 days. I am so frustrated with this treatment.

I am still not working due to retrenchment i thought my credit life claim would atleast help me out with my standard account but nothing. I spent over R100 calling Standard Bank beacause they don't update me. Spending money that i don't have.

I am so glad this is the only account i have with them because they have no care.
