SUB-STANDARD BANK GOING FORWARD DOWNHILL.

StandardBank Claim Number 18/010310 Date 22/05/2018 Time 18:00

The sequense of events Since claim needed to be signed off. Standard Bank must note that the Client JS Stoffberg, being a client for over 40 years, have no benefit from proving that the appointed contractor tried to de***** the insurance. The client however whiches Standard Bank to take legal action in the form of a civil ***** case against the contractor and other involved parties to ensure clients are protected against *****. If a contractor can so easily de***** Standard Bank it means you are not doing your part in protecting the client. 14/02/2018 Snag List done BOQ was requested on 20/02/2014 20/02/2018 reported paint damages to coach and speakers. 23/02/2018 followed up with Chris Mendle on feedback about damages Followed up on request of BOQ 05/03/2018 on Whatsapp and Via email to Yolette. It clearly say we are waiting for BOQ to check if all work was done accordingly. On 05/03/2018 Chris said he will not mail me the BOQ but only the client. Even he knew the client will send me the BOQ. Also on 05/03/2018 we clearly said we want to sign of but only after we receive BOQ to check against. You clearly said you decide what needs to be done on your BOQ not the contractor. Also on 05/03/2018 we said if Standard Bank makes any payments toward contractors without the client signing off on the loss agreement we will see it as ***** since payment cant be made without signing off by client. Also on 05/03/2018 we requested feedback what action Standard Bank took against the appointed contractor for working in an unsafe manner. Till today no feedback regarding this matter On 05/03/2018 Chris Mendle sends Whatsapp message to say he chalanges the client to report ***** to Standard Bank. He also states that he decides what work must be done not the contractor. He also said we must log a complained with Contractor Joseph which in turn just refered us back to Chris Mendle. This complaint was send to ********** We received BOQ 06/03/2018 Chris Mendle send Message that he and Joseph will no longer be of any assistance 07/03/2018 I informed my dad that I do not agree on the BOQ since there is things on the BOQ that was not done. As mentioned we asked the BOQ to check against and the bill was provided. That is why we said there is ***** because the document supp**** to check against was not met and contractor or contractors paid accordingly to information given to the client. I then did some measurements and there was also big variances. I got much less surface areas than on the BOQ. So Checking against the provided BOQ which was requested for checking purposes there is de*****ing according to me and the client. On 07/03/2018 a List was emailed to A Liebenberg to say what we don’t agree with and requested feedback. No feedback from her till now. Followed up on 12/03/2018 and still waiting On 16/03/2018 received email from Ncebkazi Gigwa of Bank Ombud ref FIAS/09171-17/18 on 20/03/2018 reported case to Marlene Ponto at Standard Bank which escalated it to Standard Bank Management. On 29/03/2018 I received email from Salina Ravele from Rosebank Ombud stating nothing. On 03/04/2018 spoke to Nxumalo on phone regarding claim with no progress or feedback. On 04/04/2018 requested feedback from Chris Mendle regarding payments to security, cleaning of site and electrician with no reply. On 06/04/2018 joined inspection with Standard Bank at insured address. Still after all emails Contractor still tries to de***** insurance with claiming on invoice for work not done. On the day of the visit on 06/04/2018 few allegations was made and I need the proof of this please. Burned plugs in my living room according to contractor. I was not aware of this and it was not brought to my attention when repairs was done. The contractor said the power tripped because of this burned plug. Why was all my power restored in my house (without tripping) if there was a burned plug. Power started to trip when contractor worked on lights in living room while working on life electricity. It would not trip if it was switched off as it was supposed to be when working on electricity. Privately contracted Electrical contractor found no burned plugs and all plugs tested safe accept the one that got whet when water was sprayed to extinguish fire. That alleged burned plug (if any) can be the result of contractor plugging in a four plate stove top to make food into a 15Amp wall socket. Any experience electrician will tell you it unsafe to do this and contractor should explain why they put people and client property at risk because of this practice. Also Standard bank Assessor noted and took pictures of damaged coach. Speakers was cleaned to satisfaction. No feedback given on when coach will be replaced or cleaned to satisfaction. Also all of a sudden it is used as defence that we cant use the BOQ to check even if we said t was for that purpose. Now we need to check against an invoice. We also requested this but sill await that invoice including the original email with time and date attachments this invoice was received and paid. As said we got prove that Sandy’s cleaning was paid and thus take that Joseph was also paid since it is the same BOQ.

The second toilet is said to be in another room but the big room was not measured only the toilet part thereoff. The same applies to the “study” which I dont have. There was no fire damage in that area of the house because there is a fire wall separating it from the rest of the house

Also Chris said he requested to come and over inspect. Please provide email or Whatsapp that requested such an inspection with time and date. Chris never came and then he send an email saying that the file is closed and the service provider (Standard Bank)will do the same. Again this to the client mean the file is closed and contractors paid. How can a file be closed without client signing off or all contractors being paid. The message was send via email on 06/03/2018. It also clearly states that Chris and Joseph will no longer be of any assistance. On 09/04/2018 received communication from Sahluko at Standardbank. On 26/03/2018 Louis Muzangwa Head of Insurance Costumer Relation Centre promised via email to give feedback. No feedback till date. 11/04/2018 send requested email to ********** On 07/05/2018 requested feedback from Standard Bank Appointed auditor on ********** 952 On 08/05/2018 he rep**** and said he submitted his report and that we must follow up with claim A Liebenberg who still did not provide any feedback. On 11/05/2018 again requested feedback with no Response According to Stephen Raseobi National claims manager the case will be handled before end of business 18/05/2018. Which also did not happen.

The following is off big concern: How can a file be closed by an assessor without a final inspection? How can cleaning part for Sandy’s cleaning be paid under emergency work? (Already Paid) Why is Security and Electrician fees not paid even after over 3 months Why did the assessor not notice the ***** if he closed his file? Why is there still work outstanding? Why is damaged goods not fixed or replaced after a month of Standard Bank Assesor Inspected it. Not even feedback in this regard. Why does it take 3 months to lay ***** charges to protect clients?
