Std Bank Insurance agents are *******s

About 10 years ago I opened requested a funeral policy for my mum with Std bank. They told me they had to speak to her directly. My mum is not au fait with insurance etc. She was coerced into taking a death and disability cover by the agent on the phone - and only for unnatural causes. I was unaware of this at that stage so I continued to pa the premiums believing that I was paying for funeral cover. When my mum passed away last year. I then found out that it was no a funeral cover when I tried to claim. Therefore I paid for 10 or so years and got absolutely nothing out of it. Be very careful of insurance company agents. They are misleading and are not to be trusted. Ask for a transcript of the conversation to keep on hand when you sign up for any policy. I must have lost at least R60k without interest. They duped my unsuspecting mother! I am so disgusted.
