STD Bank Insurance

Hi, I hate to bad mouth a company, but here goes..... Standard Bank Insurance, I had a lightning strike on my house in November 2019, My automation system was taken out, leaving the house without lighting, security, televisions, cameras etc. My short term insurance paid for the movable items, but refused to pay for the "fixtures" I approached Standard Bank, who have the insurance cover on my bonded property (through them) I have had an insurance policy with them for almost 20 years, and have never claimed, this was in early December 2019. They accepted the claim and said they would appoint a "intependant assessor" to assess the claim, great, but after they phoned me, they admitted they did not deal with home automation systems, and would refer back to Standard Bank! Great!!!! After repeated phone calls to their call centre, they appointed another "expert" to assess my house, who took lots of photographs and took all the damaged goods away as salvage, case solved........ NOT!!!!! After hearing nothing from STD bank, as usual, in early 2020, I phoned their contact desk and completely lost my toys, I demanded to be put in touch with some kind of management, they put me in touch with Penny Moodley, who promised a great deal, and even gave me her direct number (not that she's actually answered it in at least 10 calls) I'm starting to go insane.... I had to pay out of my own pocket in early December 2019 to get my house to a point where my wife can switch on lights, open gates and monitor the security system!!!!!!!
