STAY AWAY FROM STANDARD BANK INSURANCE !!!

I have a Standard bank home owners policy which has proved useless when it came to a claim for a blocked sewerage on 28/08/2020. They sent their appointed plumbers who spent 1.5 hours trying to unblock it (these guys did not even have a plunger, I had to lent mine to them). They left saying they could not do it because they did not have the proper roto rooter machine. I then call Roto Rooter Africa who managed to do the unblocking in 50 minutes for which I had to pay R2230.00 (they found some roots blocking the drain). I sent the invoice to Standard bank Insurance and they refused to pay because they do not cover blockages caused by roots ! What a convenient excuse for not paying my claim. They did not even have the decency to inform me of the reason for non payment, I e-mailed them I don't know how many times but they never disclosed the reason for the non payment of my claim until I called them today and spent 30 minutes and R30 on the call just to be told they are not paying. My advice is : STAY AWAY FROM STANDARD BANK INSURANCE !!!
