Standardf Insurance refuse to pay out claim

I submitted a claim on 1/3/2016 at Standardbank Insurance with regards to my garage door motor that stopped working.<br> I was advise to get a contractor / service provider to have a look at what could have caused the problem and to also give a quotation to repair.<br> This we did, the contractor advised that the motor burnst, but that he could not determine what might have caused this.<br> I submitted the information. A day later I called to find out whether they received the info. I was advised that someone would call me. I called this morning to follow up, since no one called me to date. I was advised that the claim is rejected. They would only pay if the motor was struck by lightening. We live in Harenbos. We do not get heavy weather or thunderstorms as some other provinces.<br> I have been paying my insurance since we bought the property in 2008. My current monthly premium is R750.00. How much have I been paying up to date - with the one claim to the amount of R3000, they reject my claim.<br> Since the day I called, they are trying very hard to find a reason/s for not paying the claim. What if there is a serious claim in future, and they again refuse to pay my. I do not trust them anymore.
