My brother-in-law is a social pensioner, so I payed his vehicle insurance for many years, But unfortunately I can no longer afford this. We called during 2020 and asked if they could revise the premium as vehicles value declined etc. But we were told they cannot do better. January 2021 we send a letter asking to cancel policy SBIB SHS***. They send email stating an agent will be in contact with us. Till date no call etc. February they paid cashback (for no claim bonus) into account and immediately took premium again. March 2021, again they attempted a NAEDO premium, because they could not, the charged the account with R110.00. Is this how SBIB make money from clients after being a loyal client for some odd 10 years if not longer with. If I'm correct I had a six year claim free period. This was affordability request to cancel. Don't people understand needs and priorities nowadays ? SBIB you need to shape up.
