Standard Insurance not worth it

<p>Hello, my name is Donovan and i logged an insurance claim for my dad. He is a retired 71 year old. I did claom for him as he has difficulty hearing. There was a terrible storm in pmb and the experienced some damage due to lighting. Namely Samsung TV, DVD/ VCR combo recorder and a food processor. I requested that either myself or my sister be contacted with regards to the claim. They sent someone over to check stuff out. Then 2 weeks passed no response. Then my dad recieves a call stating they giving R6000 shopping card. Go buy your stuff. Guy named Samkelo told my dad to go to cash convertors to buy the TV!!!!!</p> <p>What sort of bull**** is this, Where can you go buy a samsung TV for R6000? and then you rep has the nerve to say go to cash convertor!!! and they will also be taking the old stuff.</p> <p>You cannot buy a samsung tv with R6000 , yet alone another dvd and food processor. Standard bank you are taking advantage of an eldery man!!! Shame on you. If you look at his policy his been with you guys for years and never claimed. Kindly respond ASAP.</p>
