Standard home loan insurance is the worse, they will deduct your money happily for decades and they are quick to reject even your first claim due to bad weather (nature)

The worse home insurance you can ever have. I wished I checked the reviews before I stayed with them. Sadly I only realised now after being a casualty of the recent severe hailstorm in Pretoria . Despite the obvious and well-known hail and storm that affected other parts of Pretoria between 30 Nov to 1 Dec midnight or early morning my claim for an obvious fallen boundary wall due to the terrible weather was still rejected, and their reasons is wear and tear, poor workmanship what what. Yet I bought the house financed by them which came with their insurance with the boundary wall there and the hailstorm stormy weather was obvious. And on assessment the assesor did mention that everything looks normal and is a mystery how the wall could have fallen. Suddenly nature is my fault on a structure I bought through them as is. After years of being a loyal good paying client. Well that's an the eye opener, standard bank HL insurance care-less they just want money and I'm done with them. Disappointed to the core.
