Standard Bank robs me of my money
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with Standard Bank Home Loans. Over the past few months Standard bank has been debiting odd amounts of money above my monthly mortgage amount for no apparent reason as these amounts do not appear to lower the remaining balance of my mortgage. In September they debited an additional R 3.68c and in September an additional R 3.68c. Furthermore, in specific months after my monthly mortgage has been debited the actual outstanding debt actually increases instead of decreasing. This is evident in September and October as on the 31st of September the outstanding balance was R255 659.55c and on the 1st of October 2024 after the debit order went through my balance was R 258 259.90c and this is a R 2600.35c increase which is pecu****. Additionally, I am unable to withdraw my accessible bond and I was informed that I could only access it in July. I was not informed about why this is and through this it is evident that there is a lack of communication from Standard Bank's side. I have attached evidence of the above-mentioned below.
I attempted to resolve these issues by visiting my local Standard Bank branch, when I arrived there no one could give a definite reason as to why these things were happening and ultimately I felt as though my visit to the branch was in vain. I am extremely unimpressed by this and a lack of resolution to this problem. These issues are negatively affecting my finances and the reality that I have not been informed about why this is happening is also quite upsetting. I am disappointed at this service from Standard Bank as it does not align with the quintessential quality service Standard Bank is known for.
I would appreciate an explanation to this issue and compensation for the money that was taken without me being informed as I feel ****** by Standard Bank.
