Standard Bank rejecting claims
My claim to Standard bank:22/141773 submitted on the 8th of May 2022 after the devastating floods in Kaw Zulu Natal, has been rejected twice siting maintenance issues[if my gutters had been clean this would not have happened] The flood damage in the Margate area was terrible with roads being washed away and homes destroyed,a section of my roof was severely damaged, water poured into the front of house,my gutters where severely damaged barge boards where broken. Now I dread what the summer rains will do as I dont have the money to affect these repairs,I placed my trust in Standard Bank my insurer. heres the kicker we had just completed maintanance on the gutters, and front roof section.

19 Jul 2022, 15:52 Standard Bank still refuses to use the wording flood or state of disaster, they simply say flood damage.
This is there answer to me,copied and pasted.[We have reviewed your claim for damages at your property and advice that we uphold our initial decision not to pay the claim due to the specific exclusions in the policy.
Upon investigation of the claim it was noted that there is lack of maintenance on the roof and poor workmanship, hence the claim remains rejected].
Ironary of it is we just had maintainance done on gutters and roof, and submitted proof thereof.
Two independant contractors have reported back totally differently.
What do I do,when the summer rains come my home will be unliveable
