Standard Bank only cares about the premiums they receive and their clients.

I had an issue with burst pipe. Called Standard Bank and after getting help the geyser started shaking and making noise. Reported this and it took more than two months after numerous complaints on hellopeter and everywhere for them to keep sending plumbers who didn't fix anything. Like I warned them that this could lead to a more serious situation. The geyser gave in and all water came down, destroyed ceiling. Unfortunately my geyser is in the main bedroom. So this affected the flooring which is a carpet and also the cabinets. The geyser and the ceiling was fixed without problems. The flooring people came and then when we followed up they told us that Standard Bank Insurance has stopped them because they seemingly want to pay us directly which we haven't heard anything from the insurer.

We can't use the bedroom, not to mentions the mattress which was also damaged by water and the base which was also damaged by water.

Unfortunately for us we also have contents insurance with Standard Bank Insurance. I called them to claim for the bedroom damaged contents including clothing and a couch. They told me a consultant will call me back to get more details. More than 3 weeks later no one has called me. Tried calling them and I get put on hold till I give up.

If there's anyone who cares at Standard Bank, can they help us sort these things or else tell us to sort them and claim back from them?
