Standard Bank Insurance THE WORST

Worst insurance by far. Our holiday home in Bronkhorstbaai is insured by Standardbank. In 2017 a part of our veranda roof blew off and we had a leak by our braai area. We got standardbank out were upon they send a assesor to asses the damage. They informed us that they will fix the roof but the leak were rejected due to low maintenance. We then sorted out the leak witch werent low maintenance but also storm damage as the tiles there blew off aswell. Regardless we fixed the problem. Their Contractors came out to rectify the damages on the roof. Exactley a year later, the exact same roof blew off, obviously the subcontracters were *********** to do the work. This time around we were actually on the premises and the ceilings almost caved in on my 5 year old son luckly the ceiling fell scew onto our staggered doors witch were also damaged in the process. When i phoned the bank i were put on hold for over an hour and then they cut me off. So unproffessional!!!! When i eventually got hold of them after sending emails with my photos ect my claim were finally logged with a reference. It then took them over a week before sending out a assesor where we had to take off work to meet him on site. We explained our whole story and asked not to send the same contractors cause their work is terrible and if it was any good the roof would of been fine. After meeting the assesor, standardbank did not phone me to let me know what is going on. Another day, i spend on the phone trying to get hold off Standardbank sat on the phone for over 2 hours, when i got hold of them the lady rudeley informed me that the claim has been rejected. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! I told her that im not happy seeing that the contractors did a bum job and its not low maintenance. Standardbank Insurance just dont want to rectify our damages.She told me that she'll go an d sort it out with her manager and come back to me. Its been 2 and a half weeks. Im still waiting. We will definitely take this matter further seeing that my son almost got hurt of their *********** subcontractors that they use. We will cancell all our insurance incl business insurance with standardbank wih immediate effect!
