Standard Bank Insurance: the lowest standards or NO standards

Standard Bank Insurance...not standards at all. We are in a battle since August 2020, many promises, many times told we call you back within the hour...never ever happens, lies upon lies, lower and lower standards, no morals no nothing. Yet it took two full weeks to get things done and meantime we had to connect the electrical geyser at cost to re-connect and the promise (over the phone, note phone calls were recorded on my side too) that those costs would be settled. Then in March 2021, a water pipe burst inside the wall, the installer a total JOKE, they had to come back three times in two days flooding my bathroom and wooden room floor TWICE! Then the builders hit a hole in the pipe....the installer never showed up and we had to call an emergency plumber in (and once again the bathroom and wooden floor flooded causing further damage to the floor and bathroom cabinet which was NEVER paid damage for!!!). After making yet another phone call we were told that an emergency plumber (since the amateurs appointed by Standard Bank never showed up) is included, there will be a refund. We are heading two months down the line, many phone calls, many emails, many lies and promises it would be sorted (IT IS A NEW RECORD, we are busy with it for nearly a year now). The biggest lie and excuse is blaming it to Covid! The latest excuse the departments in charge have not even responded to the claim and the banana republic 'management' disappeared into a black hole. All we want it to sort it out (including via the Ombudsman which is to be honest equally useless) and move on to another insurance as Standard Bank Insurance has zero "standards". And hello, don't bother to butter it up again by responding with a copy/paste response and promises: SORT IT OUT!!!!!!!
