Standard Bank insurance **********

Very disappointed with the service. After 13 years of taking my money they can't even fix or replace my sliding gate motor which was struck by lighting. I'm waiting since Jan 19, they offered to pay me R2500 which is the amount they pay to replace a pc board. Yet they can't even find parts for my motor, it's 12 years old and is discontinued. I submitted the quote for R7000 for replacing it and they say it has to be fixed, they can't replace it. Where do i get parts for a discontinued model ? What am i suppose to do with R2500 when i have to fork out another R4500 to fix the problem. What am i paying insurance for if i have to cover 70% of the cost. Now i have to settle the contractor for replacing the motor because i give up fighting. I'm a business person and i can't keep jumping out my vehicle at night to manually open my 'SECURITY GATE' which is there for a purpose. Disgusting reasoning in their side. ********.
