Standard bank insurance operating *******ly

Horrific experience. This is not simply shocking service its actually ******* and I am waiting to lodge full investigation and complaint at all relevant ombudsmen.

Had a bond for 15 years with std bank property insurance. They over insured my Property 5 times the legitimate replacement value and refused to correct when I called to tell them.

I eventually cancelled the policy which I have every right to do, emailed the replacement policy. Got written confirmation that policy was cancelled, but they carry on debiting the premium. I called and was caller number 879. So went in to branch and they said the policy wont be cancelled unless I over insure to the same ridiculous value.

They are also demanding subsidence cover which they themselves cannot legally cover because they dont have a geotechnical survey on the property which is a legal requirement to cover subsidence.

The broker tried his best to bully me into shutting up but I won't because I know my rights and I am determined to expose these ********** activities and show all the other std bank customers whats going on with their insurance. I am waiting for the time period to lapse and will report to all relevant ombudsmen and asking carte blanche to run a story as this is ******* practice and the bank must be fined by the competition board.
